У меня давно в закладках висела вот эта страница, Дизайн популярных блогов - до того как они стали известны. И сегодня пришла в голову очередная дурацкая (как всегда) идея:

А почему бы у них не спросить как они относятся к Украине?

Идея может и дурацкая но решил попробовать. Как говорит моя мама "За спрос в лоб не бьють".

Вооружившись переводчиком, так как мое знание английского желает лучшего. (Как писал в анкете на прием на работе: "английским владею "со словарем" :).
Я соорудил такое:

I worked in the telecommunications sector, and Ukraine has a good broadband penetration. I think the Internet must be evolving fast there.

I believe so, there is opportunity to become the authority on many different niches there.

I certainly do, we are neighbours because I live in Poland, and I followed the Orange Revolution with interest, as it was widely reported on Polish TV.

Pass, seriously it is hard to say whether I had heard about Ukraine during my school days. It is one of those things that possibly goes into the back of your mind as something you have "always known", just like I couldn't say when I first heard of Germany. It is fair to say that I probably heard of Germany before Ukraine.
However I have been a neighbour for 15 years, so whilst I don't have what I would call "intimate" knowledge about Ukraine, I am probably more aware than many international bloggers.

It is hard to say because I haven't been for a visit yet, but I am sure in many ways the people are very similar to the people in Poland and I chose to live in Poland with my Polish wife.
I am sure the girls are almost as good looking as the Polish ones ;)

Your attitude to ukrainian internet?



Don't use the Ukraine TLD (.ua) unless you are creating something specific for the local audience. Even Polish TLDs (.pl) I assume to be spammers and scrapers when I first click through on a trackback.
However also avoid investing a lot of time and energy in free subdomains you don't own, such as your blog on blogspot.

As you think, possible in Ukraine in internet to earn the money?


Certainly, though I think the route to success is in writing more technical content, and outsourcing. Even Polish professional translators have difficulty writing English that really "flows", and the same is probably true in Ukraine.

You would need to concentrate on topics where the value is something other than the prose.

If at all possible, aim for an international audience in English, as it is very hard to monetize something aimed at a Ukrainian audience.
